Men, 5 simple steps for you

I normally say to the men in my life that nowadays there is really no excuse for having a dehydrated unlooked after skin and, besides, there is nothing more unattractive!
If you are one of those who have a “can’t be bothered” attitude towards skincare or if you think that skincare is for “girls”, you should remember that:-
if you work in an office or closed environment without natural ventilation, your skin is constantly subject to artificial air. Air conditioning is extremely damaging for your skin and after 8hours of conditioned air blowing your face skin, five days a week, for at least 48 weeks in the year, your skin will scream out for help, as with time these environments can leave you with very dry skin and a fissured appearance;
conversely, if you have a type of work which is carried out predominantly outside or in a workshop type of working conditions, your skin is exposed to all types of weather and chemicals, so with time your, once beautiful, skin will end up looking really damaged.
Environmentally damaged skin can make you look older (not in a sexy way by the way), so do not ignore your skincare. The women (or men) in your life will thank you for it.
There are some very simple steps you can take as routine to help prevent premature ageing or reduce the appearance of further skin damage:-
1. Wash your face with cold water in the morning and night
Cold water will help to open up your pores and remove all the dead skin which gives a dull look. You can wash your face with a paraben free cleansing gel in the morning, which will help to purify the skin. #Avène has a very good cleansing gel, which you can purchase at Boots or online for a modest price. Repeat before retiring to your chambers at night …
2. Moisturise, moisturise and moisturise
Invest in a really good after shave that deeply moisturises your skin. Ensuring that your skin remains moisturised will reduce the damaged skin look and will help the skin to regulate the levels of natural oil production to avoid a dull looking skin. Again, #Avène has an After Shave balm which has some compensating features, so your skin feels refreshened and soft.
If you wish to take your skincare routine an extra nudge, you can look up #Clarins Super Moisture Gel to apply at night time, so your skin can work on its properties during your sleep
3. Hydrate
Hydrated skin will delay the appearance of wrinkles or facial expression lines, so make sure you drink plenty of water and apply sunscreen at all times. However, avoid excessive amounts of soda drinks as they are full of sugars.
4. Avoid sugar and fast food
I know this one might sound impossible to achieve, but sugar and junk food are not good for your skin and some people even say that, if in excess, these have a negative impact on sex performance. Likewise, as we all know, cigarets can also damage your skin, not to mention all those extra pints! Eat well, live well.
5. Sleep early and aim for quality sleep
That’s right, beauty sleep is not just for the “girls”, so try to get some quality sleep every night. An evening workout will generally help you with that. A good night of sleep will also help your muscles to rebuild more efficiently, as it accelerates muscular recovery and cell regeneration.
Note: Always choose skin products that agree with your skin type
